The Full AD5 Generalist Test Simulation replicates the structure and timing of the EPSO AD5 preliminary ranking phase. It brings all five MCQ components together in a single session of 135 minutes total, each timed individually in line with the competition — giving you a realistic picture of where your preparation stands.
The simulation questions complement the practice material available in the individual component packs and the AD5 Preparation Bundle — they are not duplicates. You can use the simulation at any point in your preparation: run it early to establish a baseline, practise with the bundle, and return to measure your progress. There is no single right moment — the simulation is designed to be a recurring checkpoint, not a one-time final test.
The simulation is available in English only. Candidates sitting the real test in another language will still benefit from practising timing, structure, test strategy, and endurance across the full session. What Each Component Tests
Verbal Reasoning
Reading comprehension, inference, and logical deduction based on written passages. Tests your ability to draw conclusions strictly from the information provided, under time pressure.
Numerical Reasoning
Data interpretation from tables and charts. Tests proportional reasoning, percentages, and multi-step calculations using information presented in numerical or graphical form.
Abstract Reasoning
Visual logic and pattern recognition. Tests your ability to identify rules governing sequences and transformations of shapes, without relying on language or prior knowledge.
EU Knowledge
Conceptual understanding of EU institutions, treaties, decision-making procedures, policy frameworks, and programmes.
Digital Skills
Scenario-based questions drawn from the DigComp 2.2 framework. Tests practical digital competence across information literacy, communication, content creation, safety, and problem-solving in workplace contexts.
How to Use This Simulation
